O2 are launching new choices pay monthly plans. The plan to replace select 1 is 'five+'. It costs €15 a month and you get €5 per month free and a free add-on (their version of the O2 UK bolt ons i think). Seems like a far better deal than the old select plans. Calls are a bit cheaper too. All the details on it is on their main page.

Just to add for a comparison, you can fid the old tarrifs on

    this clickey linkey thing

Little bit confusing as the old pricing has prices with and without VAT, where the new option doesnt say wheather it is with or without. Thats one thing to confirm before changing...
    ____________________________________________________
So Overall assuming the new prices listed are incl VAT:

    Line rental is going up,

Free call value is going down,

National Call prices per min are coming down (except select2 -> twenty+ where they go up)

Calls to voicemail prices per min are coming down (by a whole 0.4cent per min)

02 to 02 calls are going up by 0.4 cent per min with the exception of five+ where they introduce a peak time of 50c per min.

Calls to other mobiles go down for select1 -> five+ changes
for select2 -> ten+ they introduce a peak rate of 40c per min and drop the off peak by 1c to 30c per min
for select3 -> twenty plus the cost goes down by 1c per min

Text messages stay the same price

WAP access goes down 2cent on all options to 13c

The new options are more expensive per month than the old options

The old select2 and select3 tiered scheme where the more on peak calls you make per month the cheaper they get has been abolished.

Sh*te I've never gone back and forward between 2 pages so much.. Did this as much for myself tho...
After all that I think that If youre on select 3 youre better off staying on it, other poeple can coose for themselves what they want to do ;)

Excellent Analysis Pimp Ninja. Thanks. Am on Select 3. Suppose I better stay there.
