anyone know/crack how to install Kazaa on the network
or any other FTP programs??????

the best way to download in the college is to use a shell account and ftp to the college.

A shell account is a user account on a machine (generally running linux/unix) outside of the college. You could download stuff to said machine and then download from there to the college. But I don't think there's a kazaa client for *nix anyway.

Your best bet is to buy a shell account. (They're quite cheap!)

Most free shell accounts are lagged to sh!t, and don't support as much processes as shell's you pay for.

Yeh, what he said. I had a good free one (through a friend you see) but its coming to an end due to the amount of abuse the server has suffered.

500gb a month isn't really *that* much when you consider who has accouts on the box

also 750 megs a day is nothing... back in galway last year I generally did a few gigs a day.. ona slow day

on days where the server was busy I could get 20-30 cds burned a day

you wont get a proper free shell unless you know someone with a proper box that is willing to give you access. otherwise you pay.
