    Ireland seems to be bereft of MOH AA and Spearhead servers.

    The best servers that i have found so far are uk based i think

    MOHAA : Gameserver.net 01 ping 90-120
    MOHAA : Gameserver.net 02 ping 85-115

    MOH Spear : DVDF Clan Server ping 70 - 110

    I am currently using 64kb isdn through eircomnet.

    I will post up ip addresses later, cannot use gamespy in work
    :( ...but these are the names from gamespy and from browsing within MOH Join game menu

    But 99% of those are populated by complete idiots.
    I only play on a few servers X Men ,LOL clan ,Rogue DaDs ,The Dads Army FMJ clan and a couple of others.

    Never ever ever ever ever play MOH on EA,Blueyonder public servers.I only play on clan servers.

    Also dump Gamespy get ASE its the win :)

    Yep loose Gamespy ,its crap and get All seeing eye as Kdjac suggests.
    For the ultimate in WW2 online go for Day of defeat ,it like all Half life mods has superb netcode and Irish servers.
    Im on 64k ISDN too and get pings as low as 30 and never above 150 with Day of defeat.Besides its miles better than MOH.

    great selection of servers.

    Are they all MOHAA servers ??
    Know any decent Irish SPEARHEAD Servers ??
    or should I say Decent from an 'irish' gameplayers point of view !

    There are not Irish servers fullstop.

    Some CS DOD 1 RTCW and thats about it ,thing IOL still have a q3 server dunno.

    Uk or nowt.

    I was having a bit of a muck about last night on
    various MOHAA Servers and I think I have found something
    interesting
    I have to say DVDF Spearhead is by far the best server I have played on, but the problem is you can never get on - it is so busy.

    So I went playing the 2 Gameserver.net servers, and I was getting fairly decent ping times (110) but when you got in close quater combat, to goes to crap. Also bazookas & Shotguns ARE allowed on this server.
    I then got on to DVDF and I was getting ping times of 90-100
    but there is no comparison, the game was much smoother. They don't allow bazooka's and shotguns. Also the server is hosted at Jolt in the UK, and I believe they have a gaurenteed 1.544 mb connection.
    All I am saying is PingTime's are important - if you have big pings then you are finished -period-. BUT they arent the 'be all and end all' the performance and the bandwidth of the Dedicated server is Vital - this seems to be enhanced by banning certain graphic intensive weapons (bazooka). I have to say DVDF run with FF on and also a 'realism' mod, so I am sure they have the server tweaked to hell for max performance.

    Anyone know other good clan servers ?? or are you afriad of letting joe public know !

    By the way - a game server in ICE Station Zebra that has no players will return a great ping time. Ping times are only relevent when there are players on the server.

    JK...you are showing your age...ice station zebra....you sound like a Rock Hudson fan....if you know what i mean ;)

    Anyway....the ping time is all important......if the latency is shot to hell ...forget about it...you will die.....
    before your bullets leace your SMG a guy with low ping times will have you with his rifle butt...not a pretty sight....

    We must find servers that have low ping times and it would seem that twenty users is the max to run with from a server point of view....the server needs to be dedicated also.....

    A new problem is the cheat mods that are creeping in....:(

    Just to let you guys know......the DVDF clan server is being tweaked to improve gameplay.....shorter range for smg and edits to the maps......

    It is the best server so far for ping times 195.149.21.240
