A friend of mine has asked me to design a tattoo for her. She wants it in Chinese symbols to say "Love To Be Loved".

Does anyone know where I can find the translation in Chinese symbols?

Heh, /off topic. A girl I knew at college got a tattoo done in Chinese text. She went in to the tattoo parlour and saw a nice chinese symbol and got it done. Years later she didn't actually know what it meant! heh, I wish I knew.

I think the best is to find someone that reads Chinese tbh, give them a pint for their trouble.

I was chatting to a Japanese guy awhile ago and was asking him abotu t-shirts etc.. (one of the guys we were with had a japanese hoodie saying 'price' in japanese in it)

Anyway, I was wondering what other ones said and he told me that when he was in London, he saw someone wandering around with an, "I'm an english fool" t-shirt. (o:

I wonder if he knew (:

i dont understand, theres not much to "design" when it comes to chinese lettering..
I dont understand why anyone would want something so specific in an alien language and lettering.. like... she wont even be able to say the words.. why have them even written??

anyway.. sorry, thats not the issue.

You might have a hard time finding a chinese guy in Dublin, most are Japanese i believe. Maybe try a chinese restaurant with some that can fully understand english??

Failing that, try a few websites with chinese users...

Whatever you do, take care that it doesn't turn out as something like engrish. ("A certain love loved")

Yeah, heard a story about a girl who got one of the same cliched tats that she thought read"i'm beautiful" when in fact it stated
    "i'm a f***ing pig"
Quite possibly a case of "truth hurts"
