cuz god knows i have nothing else to do, and not to mention that writing is very therapeutic and good for relaxing and stress relief.

maybe we could like, post "novelette of the week to the boards" and people could add alternate story lines or subsequent chapters altho half of you might not have the time to either read the stories let alone add to them,

and there prolly isn't enough of a demand for it!!!!!

I think you should maybe post a wee bit from your latest story and then have a link to the full thing on a webpage. That way people can have a read, see if they want to see more, and then visit your webpage. You could have a comments thing for people to add more onto your pages.

I got my page at www.geocities.com , they were quite good for free webspace, and there are loads of different "neighbourhoods" for you to pick from, so theres probably one for stories or suchlike.

i must say, good idea metalchick (but i hate geocities). I might add a bit meself, i'll definitely read them. Even if its just a good way to store the stories that are posted on the boards, the website is worthwhile. It looks very good too whitetrash for such a quick job. If the text was justified and there were cool links down the side twould look brilliant.
You could probably get a nice story submitting script at http://www.cgi-resources.com/

this looks perfect i think - it allows you to use html, so you can have colours and stuff. if you have a username password you can create or edit any page (i don't think people will edit other people's stories without asking, and you can restore an older backup version). I assume eircom don't give cgi-bins, so i'll try to get it running on my site, linked from yours.

Well I'm big time on for a whole story board thing. I would submit stories all the time.

However I think that the web page is a better idea. White trash..the page aint bad.

I mite have access to sum localy hosted web space that would have all the relavent cgi stuff.
