I'd say the main features of interest would be the updated ffdshow filters, ogg playback support and dvd menu navigation (although this is still in the early stages). VLC is a pretty decent media player and the best solution for divx/xvid playback on OS X at the moment, Mplayer is still a bit fiddly on OS X for my liking
