Eircom on a mouse hunt for more 'net customers

IT might seem like strange timing given the continuing IT slowdown, but this week Eircom is launching a major campaign to encourage more people to use the internet.

"Internet usage is still growing," says Brendan Nevin, marketing director, consumer & business markets at Eircom Ireland.

"Whether or not some companies operating in the internet industry go out of business doesn't stop people using the industry. This is about bringing more people into the internet," says Nevin.

ad nauseum.... (btw I wonder if he knows about the small companies that are going out of business because they can't afford his exorbitant rates)
