S4C analogue

    i read elsewhere that this channel is to extend it's broadcasting hours from 6am to 5am instead of the current 6am to 2am. will this mean more Welsh language programming or more Channel 4 programming. my bet is they will show more Channel 4 programmes but show them after 2am

    You're aboslutely right! More 4 Later and other stuff. I'm amazed they simply don't take a C4 network feed overnight (like UTV takes an ITV feed here) rather than shutting down.

    The days of S4C being recieved over here though are numbered. Everyone going digital will get Channel 4 instead (even with SCTV's proposed service) and once S4C analogue shuts down, everyone still rebroadcasting it will have to turn to C4.

    saying all that earlier on i must admit it has worked to my advantage as most days now i'm not home until after midnight so it is quite handy to sit down and watch the Channel 4 programmes later on in the night.
