ER is now broadcasting in widescreen on RTE1. Has anyone else seen more widescreen broadcasts on Irish TV yet ???

Presumbaly letterbox - not anamorphic on digital services?

The widescreen ER seems to have far larger black lines than programmes UK analogue terrestrials (14:9). I presume that this is US television's definition of widescreen, not the BBC's...

Well - I presume they, like Channel 4, get an anamophic copy. RTE must ARC it to 16:9 letterbox.
