In last Sunday Business Post, journalist Stephen McMahon mentioned in an article that ITV Digital are looking at the possibility of entering the Irish Market,it is under examination. This could be good news as more players in the market will drive down prices.Interesting, we'll have to wait and see.

How would they do it though? Via MMDS, or DTT? If the latter, they would presumably have to buy ITs TV - which might not be a bad thing.

BTW I can't find the article on the website - can you?

There were also unconfirmed reports that ntl were interested in buying a major share in ITV Digital:

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/displayarticle.php?id=3355

Both of these companies are massiviely in debt so I would view these reports with extreme sceptism (however anything is possible).

If both reports were true then ntl could indirectly control DTT in Ireland. Now that's scarey

    Looking for the Digital future
