    Is it just me or....
Has anyone noticed since Sky officially shut down their analogue service that the reception on Sky channels has deteriated ?
I presume what is coming through the cable (NTL in my case) is now digitally generated.

The reception, when bad, is no longer a fuzzy screen but a digital disturbance such as time lag and broken sound and picture. Can anyone else suggest the reason why the reception is bad of late?

I must say its rather annoying !! frown.gif

I noticed the same lately with sky digital, a lot of the time the picture breaks up and sound disturbance, i checked the settings on the box and i have almost three quarters of the signal strength...i was watching demolition man on moviemax 5 i think it was earlier tho and i had to switch channel it was so bad quality it was like something you'd get in xtra vision.

Yup happenning here too, have "pixelling" on all channels ie , if you're close enough to the tv you can see the digital make up of the picture-even though the signal strenght and quality bars are nearly full
Have seen this on all digiboxes I have seen.
Surely this is not the PERFECT picture quality you're supposed to get with Digital?
Analog pic's never have pixelling so why should it be on Digital?
p***es me off , as moving to digital is supposed to be an improvement

Having said that though, its only a small crib with me- more of a techie question for anyone that can explain it.
more than 4 ft from the tv and you don't notice it.
overall marks out of ten for sky - nine!
