Anyone notice that the price of a Sky Box office movie has gone up from £3.25 to £4.33. A 33% increase overnight!!!

A bit of a bloody cheek in my opinion. Better find my Xtravision card methinks.

    Mark.

I have never ordered any Box Office event and now with the price increase, it looks like I never will! Over £4 a film is far too much when you can rent 2 DVD's for a fiver! I will continue to opt for the latter.

Jeez £4.33 is a bit of a rip-off alright. i've never ordered anything from Box office either and at that price I dont think I'll be bothering in the future.

When I was living in Dublin x-travisions nightly rate was £3.25 for new releases. Now I've moved to the sticks its £2.75 smile.gif

would i be correct in saying that increase is due to the poor performance of the punt. makes no difference to me seeing as i very rarely order anything off of it

wont SD answer to this be that the SBO films are shown before they reach the video shops?

i dont know im just asking, like i am also wondering what the time frame is between a film been shown on the BO till they show it as a regular feature on say Premier?

I thought the run of events was SBO / Video stores / Premier or the like and finally the normal tv screens... or am i wrong?

    See ya Fi

No most films are video first.I remember seeing this ad on a tv in XtraVision
"If u want the latest movies u have a number of options.U can wait up to 4 yrs on terrestrial,2yrs on sat movie channels,6months on ppv,or u can rent the video".They seem to have forgot that the cinema is actually the first source rolleyes.gif
