Tara will be permanently unavailable in ROI

    They had intended this from the beginning, but cited 'technical reasons' for not doing so.
    By the way of consolation to people, he said that most of the people who have phoned have been told that most of the programmes on Tara are on RTE anyway.

    So there you have it.

    This is not such a surprise, if some of the mailings on this forum are anything to go by.

    Ah well. Could see it coming allright.
    I'll just have to stick the aerial on the roof for the news every now and then, as there is really nothing on tara that you cant get elsewhere, I'm not too pushed about seeing Marty Whelan on open house and the like.
    I hope TV3 comes on board soon there is a niche now on SkyDigi that they could fill.
