A collegue in work was showing me some sat mag the other day that had an advertisement for a tiny dish that could be mounted indoors, literally, it could sit on the windowsill. Sparked my curiosity ,as i'm in long term rented apartment accomation.
I can't go drilling holes in the walls outside to fit a dish but would like to get satellite (in particular sat internet access, but thats OT i suppose)

Anyone got info or opinions on picture quality etc on such a setup?

A small pane of glass will have no adverse effect on the signal, a small dish will.
your looking @ a minimum of 60CM for any Satellite in ireland [if you dont want signal fade in heavy rain and *snow*].
if your not(cant)/ gonna wall mount the dish, the pole mount it on the ground.
