    Hi all,

Will a 60cm Dish be large enough to watch all FTV channels in Limerick?

Also, anyone willing to install the dish in
    Limerick.....(I'll pay you)

    regards,
    Dave

There aren't that many FTV channels on Astra 2 - not that many worth watching. Certainly the standard dish would be big enough. Or are you thinking of another satellite?

    Sorry,

I should have said FTV channels on 28.2E.

There is a list here of both FTA and FTV (IE bbc card from the UK) :

ofcourse it is, the mini dish would even be enough.
dont be a lamer, FTA on all satellites @ 28.2 is a waste of time and bandwidth, get full Sky Digi.

I'd agree with Chernobyl. The FTA are crap. You wont get CH4 or 5 very easily either or the other BBC's, Choice etc...
£16.00 or so you get all the channels less movies sports ch4 5 etc..

I eventually got someone to install the dish here in Limerick.

He installed my 60cm circular dish in Limerick and it seems to be able many
    channels.

Note that have no interest in paying 16 pounds a month to channels, a lot of which are free in the UK.

(I bought a box on ebay.co.uk which had a bbc card in it - I can get BBC2 NI, C4, C5,TCM, Q, and Sky News etc).

For some reason I cannot get the following:

    BBC One England
    BBC Two England
    BBC Choice
    BBC Knowledge
    BBC News 24

Would this be because of the size of the dish (The Irish ones I see in Limerick look like the bigger 80cm dishes)?

    regards,
    Dave

Er - BBC Channels aren't free - they are either part of the licence fee or part of an Irish MMDS, Cable or Sat package.

No - it sounds like the card is not matched to the box. Most of the BBC Channels have this restriction. They must have forgot to put it on BBC TWO ni since that only started recently. I think you could sort this out by ringing the BBC, but you have to be UK resident with a TV licence. I resume you can't get BBC TWO NI. It could be that you can't pick up a particular transponder though as all these seem to be on the same transponder. What about Radio 5 Live? Can you get it?

    Hi Richard,

I can get BBC 2 NI.....I was able to get
BBC1 and BBC2 England one clear night, but not since....I didn't realise that the channels I cannot get are on the same transponder.
How did you know that ?

Do you have a list of channels on each transponder?

    regards,
    Dave
