I noticed in this month's Sky magazine that there was an ad for Sky+ - the new digibox with build in VCR capability (using a hard disk I assume).

Anyone know any of the technical parameters of this? Like how much video capacity it has.

I'm also curious about the cost and if it will be subscription based, or just go ahead and buy the unit?

    Thanks,
    Mark.

Mark, Here's the latest news on Sky+ from What Satellite -

New 'Sky+' digibox details are announced Friday, June 29, 2001

A new enhanced digital receiver with an embedded personal television recorder is to be launched by Sky this summer. Despite financial press reports indicating the launch was to be delayed, Sky is adamant that the souped-up boxes will hit shop shelves before the autumn. Expected to cost between £300 and £400 each, the Sky+ box will enable viewers to pause live TV and automatically record favourite TV programmes onto a 40 Gigabyte hard disc capable of storing 20 hours of TV. Unlike TiVo (the standalone TV recorder), the Sky system also has twin digital tuners, so viewers can record one programme while watching another.
