Has anybody tried ordering any movies from u-direct? I see on their web site you can enroll, enter your sky viewing card number and order movies through the remote, just like the normal Sky Box Office.

Good question that I often thought of asking as I have never used it myself (or SBO, for that odds). A mate of mine tried phoning for a U>direct football match but was told that the only way was to hook up foneline to digibox to order. But then again, maybe the person on other end assumed what worked in UK worked in Ireland. So the dial-up number may be wrong for IRL users. If some1 has successfully used foneline to order from U>direct, let us know!! smile.gif

I've used u-direct for a Celtic game earlier this year. I registered my card on the web site but used the complete international dialing code for ROI +353 .... About an hour before the program was due to start plug in the phone, usual "Select", PIN and once accepted disconnected the line. No probs

Funny though they still have'nt charged me ....

Good to see someone successfully used foneline to get U>direct (it was the Celtic game my mate wanted to get!!). I noticed on other forums that U>direct have got some people in bother by not charging them and then a few months later Wescot Debt Collection Agency gets called in to get the debt (even if it's £3). This was an admin problem with U>direct AFAIK. I also noticed that u disconnected the line after ordering the match. If line doesn't stay in long enough (overnight probably) for the digibox to fone Sky centre then the cost will never be removed from the viewing card (where credit is stored). When u order and stick in foneline, the box doesn't dial out, it just makes sure that the line is there. Obviously, once the credit on the card runs out, it's no more PPV. I believe the credit limit on card is £50
