I got Sky Digital installed about a month ago. I have since tried to book Sky Box Office movies several times through the Digibox. I connected a telephone line to the Digibox. The System Test feature in the Services menu confirmed that a telephone line was connected. However I when I tried to book a Sky Box Office movie I just got a message to ring a certain number to book the movie. This has occured on several occasions. I rang Sky last week and they said that the purchasing of Sky Box OFfice movies etc. through the Digibox is not available in Ireland (but can be done by ringing Sky). Is the correct position for Sky Digital subscribers in Ireland?

I got the same story a number of times when I rang sky. Eventually I got somebody who told me that yes, we can in fact order movies through the remote. They will need to send a signal to your box and it will need to respond over the phone line (so it will need to be connected). It then takes 24hrs for everything to be set up, but once this is done, you can order movies. I have been doing this for the past number of months.

    Good morning all, smile.gif

WHen I first read this I was a little suprised as I've been able to order Box Office movies thru the remote since day one of getting the Digibox (in some ways I actually prefer the old Analogue method of ringing them to order as its WAY too easy now wink.gif). Anyway, you SHOULD be able to do this (the EPG will even show an IEP price for the movie when you order)

    Hope this helps...

There is 2 reasons for not being able to order Box Office by the remote, because the box has not phoned back to Sky, and at the start Sky wait a while if there is a credit problem (this is not to apply that anyone here would have one!)
