Programme Synopsis on BBC TWO

Has anyone else had this problem:
While watching BBC TWO NI on Sky Digital, press the 'i' button, and the caption 'programme synopsis not available' appears. However, if you access the TV guide, highlight the particular programme on BBC TWO and then press 'i', it gives the programme details. This has been the case for at least 10 days. I'd be interested to know if this is a common problem.

I have this problem from time to time and find that re-booting the digibox solves the problem.

i wonder why it is happening. i always assumed the i button sypnosis is taken from the EPG's one. it probably is but is very annoying

according to another forum it would seem that BBC2 NI, Wales and Scotland are all affected by this problem

I also noticed something strange - when using the green arrows to preview program listings on BBC1, it would say something like "9:00 National Lottery, 9:30 Question Time" and then when you'd switch to BBC1 the banner would change to "9:00 Question Time, 9:30 Question Time" - like it is getting the initial program listing from the UK BBC1 and when you switch to it it gets the actual program listing from BBC1 NI.

Hallmark's EPG listings seem to be going a bit crazy too. The last two mornings it's listed Upstairs Downstairs while an American detective programme featuring Dick Van Dyke was showing.

Unless my childhood impressions of the programme are wildly wrong, there were no wise-cracking, fast-talking but ultimately genial detectives in Upstairs Downsatirs. Having said that, it's been a long time. Maybe there was more to Mr Hudson than I remember.

Dick can get involved in anything. There was probably a murderer upstairs and he was trying to figure it from downstairs. He's good like that. I once saw him deduce who the criminal was by blowing his nose. smile.gif

The US programme is Diagnosis Murder, and features Van Dyke's son as well, and at once point included three generations of his family. Nepotism is alive and well!

Looking at the newsgroup uk.tech.tv.sky, I see that some people in UK lost BBC2 & BBC Choice on Dsat altogether getting "technical fault" message. At least BBC2NI is working for us!
