New EPG or should that be IPG

It is believed that Sky are bringing us a new "IPG" (Interactive Programme Guide) at the end of April. It's supposed to be made by Gemstar and will have the much talked about Programme Planner which I assume is kinda like a timer. Has been talked about alot in digitalspy forums. Wots everyone think? D'ya think it's about time?

i dont really need a timer all that much but in the past i thought something like it would be very handy. also from what i read is that this new EPG or IPG(which one is it) will include ads. that brings me to thinking of the brutal Music Choice which is quite slow because (it would seem) of the ads it carries. also, me and a friend have noticed on 2 seperate boxes that the EPG is much slower between the hours of 6pm and 10pm. is this just us or does everyone experience this

If there was a new one coming, I would expect that they would have shown it here - afterall, they showed the new features..

I like what we have today. Add the timer and I'll be happy.

Just after reading "News in Brief" section on the May issue of Sky Magazine and it says that there will be a write up on the new Schedule Planner in the June issue. Have 2 wait for that! Maybe it'll be on b4 then.
