Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Just a thought.

Perhaps the on/off testing of BBC1 NI at the moment is to enable them to switch off the feed for programmes that they don't have the rights for in Ireland (ie some Movies and soaps). Similar to how Network 2 goes blank on NTL Northern Ireland for Home and Away and Sky One couldn't show some programmes on the OnDigital version in the UK when it started.

Even if this is the case, it shouldn't affect the output of Choice, Knowledge and News 24.

    Time will tell.

Another thought (more of a question really). Why is the digital text not working ? Does anyone know if it's available to viewers of BBC1 in Northern Ireland ?

And another thing - is BBC on Sky Digital always in widescreen ?

    Questions, questions ....

Seemingly the channels are co linked in digital text so i guess till we get all the channels there will be a text error, just a guess on my behalf. The picture format can be changed in services (letterbox on/off).

i hope your theory about blocking programmes isnt right. i would have thought the main reason behind Sky getting these BBC channels on their platform in Ireland was to take customers from cable and MMDS companies. if they were to block programmes then how many would change over from uninterrupted BBC to constant "This programme is not available". thats what i think. maybe someone who knows the main reason for sky's providing these channels will correct me. is it for the existing customers or to hoax customers from other platforms.

I think most of the output on BBC1 digital is in widescreen, as Arkles says you can change this in Settings. Widescreen is very welcome. There should be more of it available on Sky Digital.
