If chorus was sold and the upgrading of the old MMDS to Digital was put back on track "time scale wise". And they offered email online shopping etc.(As sky are to do supposedly). Would you go back to this "new" chorus or stay with Sky. What would they have to offer you to go with them?

Crazy poster???...WE'D be CRAZY to go back to Chorus given their limited range of channels & the high cost for same etc. Sky is a far better deal. Whoever buys that company is looking at a long and very hard road to get it back on track-another relaunch, as the brand is mud; Chorus will not see a queue forming any time soon...

Looks like it may not be a question of "if" but "when", at least two Sunday newspapers have reported that the Chorus boss, Bart Bonsall, is leaving next week...

And there are persistant rumours that the company is up for sale, and has been for some time...

An article in today's Examiner stated that 35 people have quit working for Chorus and the company is seeking another 30 lay-offs to 'become more efficient'. Please explain that to me, someone.
It also states that Sky is raking in subscribers, with the promise that it can now provide installation within a week of ordering the sevice. It adds that people are impressed with the quality of sound and picture as well as the choice of channels, inclusing BBC1 and 2. Unfortunately for Chorus, it mentions the frequent breakdowns in digital service, and poor customer relations.
Interestingly, Chorus claim to have connected 220,000 to it's digital TV service (according to the Sunday Business Post about 2 months ago, they only attracted 5,000), while Sky's customer numbers exceed 100,000 in the ROI.

I would say this figure was gotten fom the mail shot that was sent around, jeez it must be about a year and a half ago, saying that you would get special treatment if you pre-registered with them your interest in Digital. The 5,000 would sound closer to the mark though.
