Most dvd player software includes a screen capture function. For windows media player, the only way i know is to go to preferences, root around a bit and set "hardware acceleration" to none. Then use print screen to take a screenshot and paste it into your favourite graphics application.

    About that media player point:

If you turn hardware accel off on some systems you can't have the image fullscreen (I know on mine anyway this is the case, despite a gf4 ti4600) and it doesnt blur/filter/whatever the movie when its doublesized to make it look non-pixelly and nasty. (Also, if using some webcams, they won't work through graphics card video in if acceleration on)

Anyway, don't turn off acceleration, just turn it to medium. It allows screenshots and still uses nice acceleration to make stretched movies look good and allowing fullscreen.

Yeah what SouperComputer and also if you just want a shot of a particular window and not the whole screen then use ctrl-alt-printscreen

If you use powerdvd or nvdvd you can go along a press the screencapture button.
As said before the prnt scr button wont work unless h/w acceleration is turned off.

But PowerDVD is the easiest way :)

    Wot PPC said,

print screen doesnt take a screenie of a divx or a dvd

By far the easiest way is the capture button on Power DVD
