What's involved in getting a new board created under Sport?

I've read the FAQ on Community boards, but what I have in mind is a specific sport. Is there a protocol? A form to sign in triplicate? A poxy initiation rite?

Initiation rite? Don't go filling people's heads with ideas!

Just ask for what you would like to see and hear the word that cometh down from high - like rain, but more wordy.

    What kind of sport?

    LoL @ Gordon...

He's right though... if you have a sport you would want to see supported then you can suggest it here... if its ahighly minority it probably wont get supported with a full forum until it shows that it wouldnt be a wasteland.

The sport I have in mind is Archery; specifically Field Archery. There's quite an active scene throughout the country, and many of the participants are fairly active on email already. What's missing anywhere is an organised forum for discussion -- email is just so scatty...

I won't be able to afford to pay for the board until I start making my own arrows. Flippin' long grass mutter chunter...

See this is why Moderators shouldnt joke about stuff :)

You dont have to pay him anything (and DONT pay him anything, he just wants your money :) )

If you can show that there is a community in existance who WANT to move to Boards and have a forum and will make use of it then I'm happy to support it (this is the idea behind the 5 supporting posts for any community board).

I dont want to create the board and hope that they move over, I would like to know that they WANT to move over and are waiting for us to create it.

I knew that, it's just unfortunate that there isn't a :deadpan: smiley! :D

Sounds fair. I'll moot it with some of the heads and see how they feel.
