Favourite Bruckheimer Flick

Well Jerry Bruckheimer is my favourite 'action' producer. He's practically done it all, drama, romance, chick flicks and then all his action blockbuster flicks. He has a knack for picking out the good ones and then putting the money forward for them.

Maybe the quality has dropped somewhat since Don Simpson died but I still think he's a top notch producer.

    What about ye?

Ah thats easy enough:) Beverly Hills Cop, Remember the Titans and Black Hawk Down class but you'd have to wonder how real input he had in these flicks

Well first of all the script for Beverly Hills Cop was written for a white actor but Simpson and Bruckheimer decided it would be better with a black actor. And wallah, we have Eddie Murphy in a brilliant movie.

Same goes for Bad Boys which was originally for two white actors.

Another thing is that Bruckheimer is always on the set of the film giving his opinion on the film etc.

    Flashdance!:D

    But seriously folks...
er, The Rock, nothing comes close (except for Crimson Tide at times (finally found out why the movie was called Crimson Tide the other day))

Armageddon's quite good if you assume they were ripping the piss

Remember the Titans was pretty darn good.

(Bruckheimer has been involved with a lot of rubbish at times really hasn't he)

Why ? Is it something to do with defcon 4 ?

It would probably be Crimson Tide for me as well - mainly because Tony Scott is one of my favourite directors.

(see, this is why I didn't say why - I wanted someone to ask)

You might be forgiven for thinking that (just because I did) but, er, no. The sub in the movie is the USS Atlanta. The University of Atlanta's football team has long been called "The Crimson Tide". The dog in the movie is called "Bear", a reference to a former coach of the team. Doesn't make sense but I'm not a movie producer.

IMO he's had alot of good movies from Farewell My Lovely to Beverly Hills Cop. Then theres Bad Boys, Crimson Tide, The Rock,
Enemy of the State, Black Hawk Down, Remember the Titans.

The future holds the Veronica Guerin film, The Pirates of the Caribbean and Bad Boys II.

He's also done quite alot of TV especially CSI.

Granted he has had a few that havnt been quite so high in quality but they still managed to bring him in a rake of the green paper.
