Fattening Up My Arms

    Hi
Im 16,5 ft 6 and weigh 8 stone. All normal enough but one thing annoys me. My arm below my elbow is very thin and despite the fact I eat quite a bit(mostly fat filled take aways and junk food )for some reason my wrist is the size of that of the average 13 -14 year old. Its pissing me off! If it doesnt start growing soon somebody is bound to notice. No other part of my body is thinner than anyone elses-just my wrists. My muscles are average and so is my chest and legs but my wrist simply refuses to grow to what it should be.What can I do?
    Thanks

If you're male, eating fatty foods will be of feck all use to ya. Men accumulate fat in the abdominal area, very little on the arms or legs.

Check out the fitness forum for exercises for the lower arm. The only way you're going to increase the size of your forearms is to increase the muscle bulk there.

Or you could east enough until you're a few stone overweight, but you don't wanna do that.

I wouldn't worry about it anyway. It's not a big deal, and no-one notices (although when you're 16 you don't believe anyone who says that to ya ;))

Get yourself a set of weights and work your forearm muscles and tendons. This will sort out your "boney" wrists. I seriously doubt that your wrists forgot to grow like the rest of you. By the way eating fatty foods won't do you any good, you'll only end up with a huge gut:)

I have small ladylike wrists also.

Theres nothing you can do about it. Also you'll soon realise that you and your watchmaker are the only people who notice and then you'll stop worrying about it.

    When you're 20.

Hey maybe trying **** a lot. Jebus what am I saying you're 16 you're already doing it six times a day and twice in church on Sundays.

Maybe you should worry about that instead.

Don't sweat it, makes getting out of handcuffs easier, should you ever find yourself in them.

start doing press-ups on your finger-tips, do a couple every day, it will take less than a minute and you'll get results

    I don't think it will.
It might strengthen your forarm muscle a bit but that will might
make your wrists look even smaller. And the fact that you can't do it.

Something liek this may help though: http://deforceenterprises.com/bfs/hand-exercisers.html

There's not much muuscle on your wrist so i'm not sure if you can do anything. Thing is though, noone else probably notices or cares. (How many times have you ever noticed someone with skinny wrists)

Kevin, I have all of these and they are excellent for working the forearms. The other "Gripmaster" would probably be better suited to say, e.g. a guitarist.

Actually, check out pictures of Bruce Lee to see some extremely well developed forearms, wrists included.

"Mad Yoke Loike", try doing Deadlifts with a Barbell, or wrist-curls (hold the bar, curl it up in your hands, lower, repeat), or just hanging from a bar as long as you can.
