I think you could be right because they are headlining V2003 with Coldplay on August 16th and 17th and Slane is usually on around that time.

    ticket tickets tickets?

*cough* I mean when are they on sale?

Tickets are on sale March 7th and the date for Slane this year is August 23rd. I would say it's the Chilis as well as the are playing a festival in Scotland on August 24th.

If you go to www.mcd.ie you will see the add for Slane on the right hand side and it says click here for more information but it just leads to the main page of the site.

Slightly irrelevant but did that Mean Fiddler crowd have anyhting to do with Mono when it was known as Mean Fiddler?

To reply to daveirl, The Red Hot Chili Peppers are headlining V2003 the week before. I have noticed that any band who plays V2003 does not play Reading/Leeds (and visa-versa), perhaps of a contract or something. Therefore, Red Hot Chili Peppers are not playing Reading/Leeds.

All was going nice and smooth until it was announced that Reading Ireland would be a one-day event in the RDS...

Yes. They owned it, as they do a number of Mean Fiddler's in the UK, although I've heard a few are up for sale.
