Somewhat disappointingly I never really caught on to Miami Vice- I was more of a Magnum PI and Starsky & Hutch man!

Miami Vice Stuff Here (Beware Popups!)
A German Magnum PI Page (Gutes!)
Official Starsky & Hutch (slow on 56K)

Dunno if this is off topic,, but somewhere in Miami Vice Mr Don Johnson is wielding a weapon (Big Motorola Analogue Phone).. Anyone see it , he is in a car of course. Must have been a status symbol for the producer to obtain such a cool telephone.
Oh, I still have my GSM Motorola Brick phone.. Anyone else>> Retro and it works!

Speaking of Magnum PI, I was watching Murder She Wrote the other afternoon after a very productive day of college and who did I see in Hawaii with Angela Lansbury (aka Jessica Fletcher) only Magnum himself (aka Tom Selleck)! It was a very interesting story where Magnum was accused of Murder and Jessica had to clear his name!

By the way, If u ever see that woman coming near your town, run, there's bound to be a murder!

Agreed! The town she lives in should have a road sign as you enter it saying.....

WELCOME TO CABOT COVE - THE MURDER CAPITAL OF AMERICA!

Miami Vice was truly laothsome, I mean those threads, man!
Magnum PI much cooler really, as Magnum had a good character foil
in Higgins. The show had a sense of humour, which Crocket and Tubbs singuarly lacked.

I think a lot of TV shows lack any humour. I think Mirder She Wrote had humour. ALF in the 80s had humour. Murpht Brown was class.

I think the funny thing about Magnum PI, Murder She Wrote, A Team etc is that they are still very watchable and entertaining.

TV has got more self induldant & humourless.

I agree but stuff like McGyver and Murder She Wrote are very watchable. They were sort of family viewing. Even the A-team, Bionic Woman, Charlies Angels, Knight Rider, Alf, Simon & Simon were very watchable.

Today Stuff like CSI, The Practice etc are less so.

I'm sorry all that stuff is just Bubble gum TV. Miami Vice certainly wasn't intended to be family viewing, back in the days when that actually meant something. Why not drag Bosco into the thread it would have about as much relevence.

I dont think that i would sit down with the family to view Hill Street Blues, LA Law, St Elsewhere (or even Cadney And Lacey) with the family which are the CSI, ER and the Practice of the 80's

Muder She Wrote and Matlock are more family viewing. They dont make series like that anymore except may be Diagnois Muder.

Is FastLane just a copy of Mimi Vice?????

Diagnosis Murder, now there's a show! The beauty of a murder plot but with the lovely Dick Van Dyke and his son, who I can never remember the name of!

Very like Murder She Wrote - an old person who thinks they're a detective, a handy murderer each week....hmmm do they have the same scriptwriters??

    :)
