Eracer Competition at Darkside LAN!

Hi guys, for those of you that dont know about the Darkside LAN its a 24 hour lan party on in febuary! Im not going into any datail on the LAN here, you can find details on the LAN parties forum.

We have been running an Eracer competition for the last 3 lans and we get 16 players in to a 2 round knock out competition. I know most of you race sim guys play GPL but Eracer is still fun at a LAN. There is a prise though im not sure that is yet. It was a remote control Subru Impreza the last time. There is a perpetual trophy as well. If there is a lot of intrest in this comp i can extend the it to in clude more than 16.

Also we have never had any GPL at the LANS to date and im hoping we can change that this time. We also play some PS2 GT3 on the big screen. So if any of you are intrested go to www.darkside.dna.ie for info and www.room101.org for sign ups! There are 80 places for this LAN and 60 or so are already gone so sign up soon if you are going!

It may be a chance for all the racing sim people to meet up and race each other to death and perhaps get the odd game of Quake in as well.

So let me know what ya all think, and youre level of intrest....

What races do you do in the eraser comp.

I have the oem version that i got free with something and it only has 4 races. Does the version you play have more than that and will I be able to play them.

I missed the comp the last time so I havn't a clue as to what happens

The tracks we race are 2,3,4,5 and some of the tracks we download of the web which are free!. Im sure if you copy my track folder you should have all the tracks you need for the comp! If not you can just use my come as i`ll put you in a dufferent round than me so we can share the PC. Dont worry how ever we do it, theres no problem. You shall be able to partisipate.

And on a different note
I got need for speed, hot persuit 2. Its a great single player game and i was thinking of running it at the LAN. Any way at Spooky LAN at the weekend 3 of us tried the game out and its not as good a multiplayer game as the police dont chase you like they do in the single player! Unless i set the server up wrong! Is there a way to do this? anyone! If so it could be a goer at DS5!

BTW i really do recomend it as a single player racing game just for the excitment thing!

whats this eracer you speakof? also what dates? i heading to teh states in a couple of weeks and could miss it

No bother man you are welcome along to the next one anyway! the game is eracer made by rage software! It is made to be played at lan`s and on line hense the name! Even noobs can have an influnce on the outcome of the game as nearlly all the tracks loop back and cross over themselfs!

Any way the LAN is now full there is a waiting list for any drop outs. If you havent signed up at this stage tough, but sign up anyway and get on the waiting list early!

BTW th lan has now filled and there is a waiting list of 10 or so, but if anyone here is going is intrested in giving us a lesson in GPL you are moe than welcome to as I would like to see this game grow at darkside!
