The PS2 is now classified as a Computer. Not a console.

In order to get around EU law forcing them to tax the machine they added BASIC to the console to classify it as a PC.

So instead of a state of the art console, your getting a crappy PC with no monitor, mouse or keyboard. lol smile.gif

but it should provide coders with limited access to the console's 3D graphics engine.
Ooh, that could be a larf... but then again, it just sounds like a really crappy Yaroze.

Typical of Sony, adding something that could have been handy, but is totally pointless to the user serving only Sony's needs. They could have built in something useful like C or Java to make the PS2 a sort of amateur developer's console, but presumably that would have been too much effort mad.gif

    Because:

    A: It's really a games console.
B: By saying it's not, Sony get away with paying a fortune in tax, so they lie.

We've got to work together, C'mon!
