I had the same problem with my machine, it wouldn't boot up with pc133, I had to spend a little extra to get pc100 and it worked first time (even tho they tell u that the pc133 is backward compatible, some systems are fussy)

i have kind of resigned myself to having to get pc100 although its for work and might be able to get it going on another computer.I wouldnt mind but i tried 256 first and had to take that back because th pc only accepts increments of 128.ah well, cheers

I got an extra 128MB of 133 to add to the 128MB of 100 that was in there and had the problem you describe.
Solution: (for me anyway) swap the 133 into slot 1 and put the 100 in the 2nd slot.
    Might be worth a shot.

If you got a DELL the you have to get RAM that works on a DELL. They change the timing of their RAM so you can't use standard generic ram.

Sometimes two types of RAM have problems operating together. Try the system with just one stick of your PC133 on its own to see if the system works with it.
