suspicious files

just downloaded F-Prot after seeing a recommendation from another post and during a scan it has found a number of "suspicious files", one of them turned out to be a virus which it successfully got rid of while it has come up with a couple .cpy files which apparently can't be deleted.
They are in C:\_RESTORE\TEMP which to be honest I didn't even know existed and there are 208 of them in total while only three of them have been marked risk files by the scan. The suspicious ones are A0153071.CPY, A0153072.CPY and A0153073.CPY.
Any advice on what to do? I ran a search in google for them and in AVERT but can't come up with anything.
(it's possible I'm being overly paranoid having just installed zone alarm after not having it for awhile but I'd like to be sure all the same)
    thanks.

    downloading the cleaner now thanks

ran the scan again and this time it's picking up all the .cpy files in
C:\_RESTORE\TEMP and saying they're suspicious and one is infected but it can't delete them.
    :(

If your running Win ME and I think XP also you really need to disable system restore before running your anti-virus software. Problem is that the anti-virus cant clean these files properly with it enabled and some virus' (virii??) take advantage of this and are copied into your restore folders. From the info u posted this is where ur being told the suspicious files are. McAfee/Norton wont be able to clean these until sys restore is disabled.

The stinger program can be useful altho I've only ever heard of it removing Bugbear.. if u picked that up u'd be getting things like strange e-mails being sent to yourself

I'd recommend AVG Antivirus from grisoft.com
Theres an excellent free version available and the updates etc. dont mess up ur system like McAfee has been known to do. Norton's not bad but can cause conflicts with other software like Outlook express.
