The Simpsons is to continue for at least 2 more seasons.

Is it past its sell-by date?

The Simpsons is 2 years past it's sell by date imo. Every new episode that I have seen lately have just been woeful. But it was bound to happen sonner or later.

I still think that the Simpsons is good.

I don't watch it half as much as I used to.

Perhaps some people are beginning to suffer from acute Simpsons overload.

Voted NO before i realised that the vote topic wasn't "Simpsons Until 2005". Oops.

I used to watch it out of loyalty (or was it misplaced hope?) but I gave up on that about 3 months ago and haven't seen a new episode since.

The simpsons is a lame animal that needs to be shot in the head.

Frankly, if you don't like it, stop watching it. If people stop watching it, the ratings fall and it gets cancelled.

It appears many people are still watching, and most likely enjoying, the programme. Someone starting a thread about the declining quality etc etc on boards.ie every three days really isn't going to make them axe it..

with a while now i tend to watch in the hope of it being a good episode but i find myself switching off at half time :( and the repeats are on way too much

I saw a new one lately and I was in bits laughing...admittedly some of the latest ones have been dogs tho...I'll keep watching.

as a total simpsons fanatic and loyal viewer i'm in two minds - yes its become ****e in the last year - the writers dont even try anymore... but no - when i hear sky saying "new simpsons" i can't help tingle with anticipation. It can still make me laugh at times and that can't be a totally bad thing.

I'm a huge Simpsons fan and yeah, I still watch the new episodes but am always disappointed. IMO I think it should have ended 2 years ago.

Its not even giggle inducing anymore.A far as im concerned it could be axed this very second and I couldnt give a damn. The writers are now writing dumb slapstick and making obvious sex jokes way to often. Its a real pity.

Voted yes. The best years are definitly behind them, I think it would be better to end it now rather than driving the thing into the ground.

More futurama and family guy! (both of which are cancelled I think... go figure!)

Died after the 200th episode spectacular. I explained my theory on a recent thread. To lazy to type it again.

i think it was after the whole who shot mr.burns thingy it began to show signs of sliding into ****e, u do get some goodd bits in new episodes now, but they are scarce, most of the time id through an entire new episode without laughing once, but if i see an old episode for about the 50th time i still piss myself.

I wouldn't say that the simpsons have passed their sell by date. Sure maybe some of the episodes of late have been a bit crap but I will still watch them every chance I get and the majority of the time I wil enjoy them. There are the ocassional episodes when it's just like "Oh now! Not this one again!" but at the end of the day I have always been a fan and I always will be.

The Simpsons is so far past its sell-by date that even the mould has got mould growing on it.
Havent seen a decent new episode in God knows how long, I still watch it for a luagh but not nearly as often as I used to back in the day.

Aren't they making a Simpsons movie? or me lose brain ?
