ok. im getting the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe GD mainboard and probably the amd athlon XP 2600+. the 2600+'s bus speed is 333mhz but the mainboards max bus speed is 333mhz. should i get it or will it decrease stability or what? and can someone please recommend to me a good cpu fan for that processor. do i need to get one that's above "max 2600+" or will one that's max of 2600+ do? please help! thanks

If the mainboaard supports 333mhz bus speed then you shouldn't have any problem running the 2600+ on it. It's only older mainboards with 266mhz bus max that won't support it.
    I'd recommend a globalwin cooler also :)

Normally a HSF rated for your CPU or over is perfect. (Unless you plan on doing any overclocking ... in which case it might be worth your while going to google.com and finding a few reviews)

Another issue to remember is the noise level of the Fan. The Fan on your heat sink will almost certainly be the loudest component of your PC and some are a lot quieter than others. (Don't touch a Delta)
