Gprs Dead -_-

    Hi,

I got my phone back from repairs recently (Panasonic GD87 on Voda Live).
Seems to be working fine but now I cant get any sort of gprs connection going. As a result I cant send/receive MMS or go online.

NO data is downloaded at all and it doesnt even seem to make a connection, just hangs there and then sais "GPRS services not available"

The settings on the phone appear to be fine regarding IP numbers etc as I have gone through the list of set up steps that Voda sent me, also, GPRS *is* set up on my account according to Vodafone.

Any idea whats up? I can only assume that in the course of fixing my phone they did something to the phone that has killed gprs. The weird thing is though, I got it working for 5 minutes last night, then it died again. Any help would be much appreciated.

I dont know what could be wrong with your GPRS but I just handed my Panasonic GD87 to be repaired as well. The phone kept turning off on me i hope the same thing doesnt happen me. Why did you have to get your phone repaired?

    Phone kept turning off :)

Ive heard Panasonic are releasing a new version of the firmware that improves the cameras capability.

Currently there is an improved version of the GD87 firmware out there, fixes some minor problems. Orange are using it on their models.

i've been getting flakey Voda WAP/Live! GPRS connections recently - last weekend (then i was away for a few days) and again today (ahhh home to the rain and drizzle :) - had both connection problems and if it did manage to connect there were plenty of timeouts
