Laptop TV out

My laptop's tv out is producing black and white when connected to a regular tv. I've done some searching on the problem and it seems like I don't have a NTSC compatible tv for it to work on. Does someone have a workaround to this problem as one of the main reasons for having a tv out is to play divxs on a huge tv!:D

Laptop is a toshiba satellite with mobility radeon.

if you go into the bios of the laptop or perhaps use the software in windows - you should be able to change the output from ntsc to pal

worst case means you'd have to buy an ntsc to pal convertor
