Maxine has been annoying for so long that when she walked in I just chanted "kill her, kill her"

Good looking girl and all that but... well, let's say Tracy Shaw's character and Ashley were well suited.

I'm looking forward to the Richard episodes towards the end of February - should be exciting judging by what I've heard so I might start watching it on an irregular basis again.

I'd like to see one nasty soap character getting away with everything some day (Baldy on Eastenders doesn't count) - I suppose we'll have to wait till British soaps turn into the Sopranos before that happens.

It was just like Brookie! I knew Tracie Shaw was leaving (no bad thing) but still, it was slightly surpising in the way it happened...I bet the ITC get some complaints it being before the Watershed and all that.

I bet Richard now tries to kill off Emily in hospital, it'll be like Halloween 2!

I didn't like the way this was handled at all - it should have been carried out faster, with
Richard finding out his financial situation has been resolved on Wednesday and then being wrote out on Friday...
    .

Instead they are gonna draw it out. And the murder scene was PATHETIC.

I've grown up watching Corrie (jaysus, no wonder I'm gay... :P) - but Eastenders seems to be wiping the floor with it.

No way, Noel. Eastenders is such a miserable soap these days. Give me good old corrie any day. :p

Did anyone else agree that Maxine undereacted a little?I mean, she comes in and finds her neighbour looking startled, wearing a hat and gloves holding a crowbar and standing over a woman who looks to be unconcious. And what does she do?
She says"Richard what are you doing?"in a tone which you would normally reserve for if you found somebody you know inside your living room trying to nick the tv.Surely she would have roared"Oh my god what the fcuk are doing!!!!"(well, maybe not before 9 o clock but she still would have been more voiceforous).

No, no, no - you're not going to blame Corrie for you being gay, even in jest:D

Admittedly staring too long at Hilda Ogden in the mid-eighties would have turned anyone but Ken Barlow and Derek Wilton wouldn't exactly have caused anyone to think "nyom, look at that"

Len Fairclough wasn't exactly "sex on a stick" either.
