Ready To Go and GPRS headaches

just go meself a nice c55 a few days ago and im having an awful lot of trouble with its gprs and wap stuff

earlier on this week i had problems d/l ringtones etc. over the vodafone network(sorted that out by using a belgian provider, but internation phone calls are not what im looking for).

ive also been trying to access wap using gprs but i cannot connect at all to it. the ip provided wap.vodafone.ie in the phone itself seems to be dead and cannot be pinged by regular means.

whats up? do i have to ring vodafone to get gprs working for my phone?

is there an error message that comes back after it fails to connect on the phone?

best to give RTG support a call (1850 20 87 87) and ask them if you have been enabled for WAP over GPRS access - they can check with the tech people to check if your account has it

give a shout back if you are still having trouble after they check / switch it on

it just decided to start working for some strange reason but the download problem is still there even using the wap over gprs nothing can be downloaded except wap pages when using the vodafone network but the belgian provider works grand.
