I just got mine in the post.

I'm just wondering if anyone else here in BoardsLand owns one and, if so, what do you think of them?

I have a Lomo Classic and an Action Sampler. I really like them both - they seem to give the photos a really nice colour and texture. They kinda take a while to get used to though - you really do have to pay attention to the distance of the thing you're shooting, and the lighting conditions, otherwise your photos won't turn out well (if at all). But this just comes from practice.

Do you have any photos scanned in? The site looks so slick, I am suspect. But mmmmm, yes me wants one now!

I love the details on the Holga, the lens is plastic so you never know what's in focus, it's doesn't let enough light in so you get nice dark edges to your pictures and the body is so poorly made it leaks light, but these are all _good_ things!

I ought to buy at least one of them, on ebay for 100 euro ish, do you think it's better to get it from the site? Are the new ones still made in Russia? Are you happy with yours?

Well, if you can get it cheaper, fine - it doesn't look like much could ever go wrong with it. I got mine from the site and it cost €188 incl. tax.

Yeah, they're still made in St. Petersburg and shipped to Vienna where they're sold from.

I can imagine myself wasting a lot of film just getting used to the thing but it's gonna be a lot of fun.

I was thinking of getting a Holga, too, but because it's medium format, I don't know how much that costs to develop. Anyone know?

Impluse buying! I went with the site, they look like they give lots of neat packaging 'n' stuff. Got a journal to put me over the free shipping cut off bar :)

erm, im too lazy to read the site,
can anyone tell me whats different about this camera and any other?
its seems it was designed ages ago so what can it do that newer cameras cant?

you can get a digital camera for 169 yoyos like, so why spend 188 yoyos on an antique?

Ahem, here's some of my first photos taken with the Lomo. As far as photos go, they're only alright, but I'm really impressed with the colours. I haven't altered them in photoshop at all (usually I have to with my other cameras).
