excel charts

    i have a scatter graph in Excel with 4 points, (50,1600) (500,650) (1000,584) (5000,514), what im trying to do is select a value for y and see where it cuts the curve (and give me x). anyone got any suggestions? have searched alot but cant find anything.

    Just use good ole algebra. Find the equation of each line using the 2 end-points. Then substitute the y co-ord in and out pop's the x coord.

    see its not a straight line, not sure how to get the equation of a curved line or if its possible
