The following wargames are running at Leprecon this year:

40k Tournament by Daryl Trainor
A game that needs no introduction, bring along a 1,500 point Warhammer 40k army and do battle in three carefully balanced scenarios designed especially for Leprecon by Daryl Trainor. Play on the best scenery to be found in Dublin, not just for bragging rights, but for €100 worth of goods from any of the traders at Leprecon.

Full Thrust by Donagh McCarthy
In the silent depths of space, the roar of your own engines and the stabbing lights of needle beams are your only company. In a deadly game of luck, skill and manoeuvre, the winner will taste the fruits of victory, the loser will find an icy grave in the spaces between the stars. A participation game that will be running all day Sunday, come along and try your hand in this quick and simple game of starship combat.

Stalingrad: Time is Blood by Eamon Honan
The fascist vipers have penetrated the suburbs and are driving towards the heart of Stalingrad. If they reach the Volga, Chuikov's 62nd Guards Army will be cut off and Stalingrad will fall. If Stalingrad falls, the Motherland will fall. If the Motherland falls, the entire planet will fall into the cruel grip of the fascist monster. For us, there is no land behind the Volga. A large scale participation game of Warhammer Panzer Battles, an adaption of the popular 40k rules set for Second World War Battles, which will be running all weekend.

Heroclix goes on the ummmm...HeroClix board

OR...there is a Heroclix tournament on the Saturday, sponsored by Third place games/comics (who will be at the event). Sunday sees a battletech clix and now an *original* battletech competition.

On the topic of 40k again, Graham McNeill (GW design person) is coming over and might just have some new unreleased never before seen books and models for prizes..., and Tammy Hayes (GW Artist person) will be doing some painting demos...

So if you didnt have enough reasons to come already, YOU DO NOW!!!

Don't worry. The Waterford crowd will be there (5 or 6 of us anyway).

Not sure if anyone is wargaming tho. but most of us will at leat be oggling the armies.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the non GW wrgaming stuff. Was very impressed at Warpcon, nearly half the tables were non GW.
