    lo there folks, first time posting to arts/anim board. Just wondering what you think of this piece. Its my first serious attemt at decent Illustrator stuff. I've done some stuff b4 but this is the first one I was quite happy with. Its meant to be in the popart kinda vain. Did it for a college assignment, unfortunetly I have to redo the head as it was meant to be a self portrait. Almost all was done in Illustrator with some touching up done in PS. A little critique would be cool.

    Really nice work on the figure.
    Just a few quick things. I find the background and shoe pattern very busy and distracting and the glow around the figure too gratuitous. Otherwise keep im coming :)

    Cheers fig, it looks better when biggger but i see where your coming from. Took your advice all the same and made a new one. Will post it later.
    This board is pretty quiet, is there any other Irish arts boards that are a little bit more lively? is creative ireland any good?

    Heres the revised edition. No glow and the background and shoes changed. The head has also been changed too, so he looks a little bit more like me. (an assignment requirement). As my lecturer said tho, it might be a little too flattering. :D I kept the eyes, even if they are a little freaky, mainly cos i think they make him look distant.
