Outlook Express Really Slow

    basically, outlook express is really slow to load, then almost hangs while opening messages, its a nightmare to use.

    anyone got any ideas how to fix it or what the problem may be?

    ive win98,internet and outlook express ver 6. i think it happened a few months ago when i virus checked my PC for the first time with a new Norton antivirus install, but im not sure.

    I use Outlook 2002 (from the Office 2002 disc set) and find it flawless. There's my recommendation :)

    Norton is scanning every message I would think, check your Norton settings
