    does anyone happen to know if Irish bank cards will work in Italian ATM machines?

    if on the back are 2 symbols one saying plus and the other saying link your sorted.

    If you have Cirrus, Plus or Maestro on the back of your card your sorted or if you have a credit card load it up before you go.
    The link network is just Ireland and Uk as far as I remember I used to work in a bank a long time ago.

    i've used my aib visa and aib atm card (its 9 years old) in milan atm's in the last 2 months. worked perfectly

    Technically Cirrus will work all over mainland Europe, but its not always the case.

    You can always take out cash on the trusty visa/major CC.
    Better bet, as will always be accepted, and theres no faffing about with travellers cheques, or having to hang on to loads of cash and pray you dont get mugged lol

    You better get cracking. the bank can probably do something for you bout that and if all else fails theyll just issue you a new card with a new pin number and next time change your pin to something youll remember......
