    Ok,

Previous experience of UTVip is that if you ask for something on this board somebody pops up and says:

    "Oh, would you like that?"

    And you say:

    "Yes Please"

    And they say:

"Well we'll see what we can do by next friday"...and have it done by Tuesday...

So I figured it would be worth asking?

certainily worth a try .... but you migh be stretching them just a wee bit ... you might be better asking Eircom/Esat Bt for a reasonable wholesale bitstream offering ... me thinks you will have less luck with them ...

couldn't they launch it before 'friaco', undercutting everyone else, get a large customer base (lose money), in the anticipation of making money once friaco arrives ...
we need some aggression

They could, but theres no guarentee that FRIACO will happen anytime soon.

AFAIK Clicksilver is a dsl offering tho. If it is then UTV cant offer it because of the high wholesale price that eircom have set.

Ah Good ol €ircom. We'll keep you in the dark ages by not offering anything remotely value oriented and ensure no one else can either, in short "You're f*cked"

Makes perfect business sense, of course, given their dominant position.
