I've kinda been out of the comic scene for a while.. Don't really have the money or time, but I'll probably get back into it over 2003. So just wondering, what are the best comics currently out there and what are the best sounding forthcoming ones?

And what are messirs Grant Morrisson, Warren Ellis, and Garth Ennis up to these days?

    I was thinking that too.

I can only give you a marvel perspective and a limited one at that because i'd spent 6 months waiting to get the cash to buy the ones I had stored with my dealer....and he ended up putting them out of the rack to be sold. Lost a few #1's because of it :(

Haven't had a chance to read the latest issues of what I have yet - but the ultimate series on xmen spidey avengers etc etc seems good.

Ultimate X-Men is a very good read, same with Spiderman. "The Ultimates" (Avengers) isn't really very exciting so far, but then it's only on issue 7 at the moment.

I'd recommend picking up Arkanium by Dreamwave. Brilliant artwork coupled with guns and swordplay always makes for a good read!

The Punisher is worth a look too.

I'm not sure what Grant Morrisson is dfoing at the moment.

Warren Ellis has a few things ongoing at the moment. The Filth is a 13 part maxiseries. Issue 7 came out last week. I like it, but I like anything with chain smoking communist space monkeys. Global Frequency is a 12 part maxiseries. Each issue is a self contained stories. Issue 3 came out last week as well and it is damn good. Scars is a horror dective story. The first issue was out a couple of weeks ago. www.warrenellis.com should have a few details of what else he is up to.

Garth Ennis is still writting Punisher and has a Bigger Dicks series being released as well.

Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentalmen is on its second series and it's fantastic.

    Actually I'm a goon.

Grant Morrisson is writing the Filth and not Ellis.

Yeah... I'm thinking of leaving getting The Filth till it comes out in trade paperback. Which it hopefully will.

Just finished reading the collected 'Squee'. The best comic ive read in a while and resulted in loud laughter on the train while reading it.
'Everything can be beaten' is good too!

I get 'hellblazer' monthly and wouldnt miss it. At the moment its the best it has ever been in the 5 years ive been getting it.

'Lucifer' isnt going anywhere at the moment.

    2000ad has been great lately.
