i plan a couple of trips to carlingford next season so if anyone can help with the following questions.
when do they start arriving there? [ive heard may]
are there any particular marks? [or gps freq]

    Hi Terry

Have no information for you but I know that some knowledgeable northern ireland anglers inhabit the www.anglersnet.co.uk forum so you might try a posting there...

They start to arrive in early summer. May sounds about right. Some of the more noted marks are Greencastle and Greenore. I had a small one while mackerel fishing off the rocks at Greencastle.

You could try these numbers for charter skippers who'll take you out and show you what to do. These both cater for tope anglers.

One of them runs out of Greencastle. His number is:04841763669.
Another runs out of Warrenpoint. His number is:04830264906.

They're both very busy so book early. You'll need to book about 3 weeks in advance.
