what is the recommended dish size for Hotbird. the analogue channels are coming in with loads of sparkles (distorted sound on some) while the digital channels come in perfectly

another thing, i never knew BBC World and Eurosport News were FTA in digital. any others there that might be of interest

80cm is the recommended size for Ireland.

Well I've an 80cm dish aimed at Astra and another LNB offset for Hotbird with a nice DiSEqC switch from Tony! Because the Hotbird LNB is offset, the signal is weaker but works grand (for digital telly).

BTW, I didn't know Eurosport News was FTA on Hotbird! Frequency?

Oh, and MTV2 Pop Channel is now FTA on digital (always been FTA on analogue) on Astra 1 for anyone interested. It's very similar to TMF on Sky.

All I need to do now is try getting Astra 2 on same dish!;)

    Hi,
for example if i wanted to watch all the hotbird channels, would i have to subscripe to each channel indivually, or could i subscripe to a hotbird package like sky. Or is hotbird just a satelitte like Astra ?

There is some channels there i would like to recieve, So any info would be apreciated.

    Thanks in Advance,
