Is there a non intrusive method of playing Japanese games on euro ps2? I.E. No mod chips or soldering. Can such a disc/dongle be purchased in Ireland? Thank you for your assistance.

to the best of my knowledge you need some form of modchip to play imports.

you can get no solder mods, but you need to buy a boot disc aswell. you'd have to take the cover off the ps2, but not much more to fit these.

afaik you can also get chips that plug into the usb port, but these only work on the older models.

not sure about where to buy these in ireland tho
