Well firstly apologise for my long absence, 3rd physics is hell!

It's nearly time for Warpcon again (biggest con in Ireland eh Colm?) and I'd like to just inform ppl of some of the events that are happening in Wargames this year.

We're running a much bigger show this year with the usual 40k/fantasy and (deep breath) OGRE, Celtos, Random Wizkids games (MK MWD and HC), DBM (historical), Battletech, and many demo and participation games incl most of the above and Warhammer Ancient Battles, maybe a small bloodbowl league if i'm bored and such.

Also of particular note is a "new" idea we're running with this year. It's a combination of a LARP and the Warhammer 40k game. I can't go into too many details at the moment, but i'll try to get back with more details.

Anyways, feel free to check out the website at www.warpcon.com

    Hope to see you there

PS For those who've never heard of it before, it's basically a large piss up in Cork, held on UCC Campus :)

    HI Padraig,

Have not seen you since the GT, so We as usual will be down in force-Sean/Mark/Caolan/Tom and myself- maybe one or two new recruits as well. Alot of us would be up for BloodBowl as well.-Sean Frank would probably run it...?

What did ye think of it?

I couldn't go, but after talking to Moxie and hearing about the RPG which had seperate tables (1 for a court and 1 for a battle), I'm thinking I missed out on something damn good

Warpcon was fantastic. I had a brilliant time, just like the last two years I went. The organisers should be proud of such a quality event. Wargaming was excellant fun, win or lose (mostly lose:p ) and the pub events hilarious. The charity auction had me laughing heartily for hours...

If I can make it next year I'll be there!

    And Hurrah for Beamish Red!

    Well.... the hangover finally gone...

We got roughly 550+ through the door :) Wargames ran well, and had about 60 ppl at one stage.

Now I just got to do it again. I'd better see yee all there next year!

I'm really getting into Inquisitor, I wouldn't mind running a wee campaign this year. It could be incorporated into that massive battle on sunday last year. Special forces sort of stuff.

Ok, I'm going to close this thread in a week (from the date of this post). I'll leave it open for those wanting to post since Warpcon wasn't that long ago.
